Franz Trautsch was a German landscape and architectural painter born in Dresden, Germany in 1866. Not a great deal known about the artist but he is listed in Thieme-Becker, a German biographical dictionary of artists.
Franz Trautsch exhibitied a painting at Sächsische Kunstausstellung, Dresden, Ausstellungsgebäude auf der Brühlesche Terrasse May to October 1906.
Works by Trautsch include: 'Serkowitz bei Dresden' (Elbe bei Radebeul) (1895), and 'Übigau an der Elbe' / An der Elbe (1896).
It is thought that Trautsch died in 1920.
