John Copnall 'Tangos de Malaga' Mixed Media
DESCRIPTION: For sale - A rare and large John Copnall mixed media painting composed from plaster and concrete and cloth, and painted with (possibly) oil paint. The painting is titled 'Tangos de Malaga' and was painted while Copnall was living in Spain. The piece is signed 'John Copnall' and also by the Spanish name Copnall adopted 'Juan de Retamá'. I would estimate the work was painted early to mid 1960s. The work has been framed with a reinforced frame and is extremely heavy.
