Components of the image appear on all sides of the artwork. The paint has been applied thickly in layers in order to build depth of colour and texture - a technique developed by Mellis and explained in the documentary 'Margaret Mellis: A Life in Colour'. This work appears in the documentary, leaning against a wall in Margaret's studio. A screen shot of the clip can be seen. The work is unframed.
