DESCRIPTION: A superb impressionist oil on canvas by the important French painter Eugène Antoine Durenne entitled 'Montaguette'. The work has been catalogued by Galerie Durand-Ruel, which was established by Paul Durand-Ruel and was concerned with establishing the first impressionists such as Whistler, Degas, Renoir, Sisley, Manet, Pissarro and Monet. The painting is presented in a nice frame and there is handwritten refernce to Galerie Lucy Krohg on the reverse of the painting.
