DESCRIPTION: Oil painting on canvas titled 'Girl With Flowers II'. The painting shows a seated young woman with a basket of flowers and holding some white flowers in her left hand. The work is displayed in a gilt moulded frame. Inscribed to the stretcher verso: 'PATRICIA PREECE MOOR THATCH COOKHAM BERKS GIRL WITH FLOWERS II - 40 GNS'. Many of Dorothy Hepworth's works were signed by her life partner Patricia Preece. There is an old James Bourlet & Sons, Ltd. label verso. James Bourlet were an art packers and picture framers used by The Roayal Acedemy among other prestigeous art institutions and galleries.
