John Copnall 'Blue and Red Stripes'
DESCRIPTION: A John Copnall (British 1928-2007) abstract painting on canvas from the artist's 'Stripes' series of works and titled 'Blue + Red Stripes'. The painting has great provenance having come through John Copnall's agent, Mark Barrow who kept this work as part of his collection. The piece dates to 1973 and is titled and dated on a mount that has been attached to the back of the frame. The work has a brand new white frame which shows the painting off nicely. The painting is unsigned but the writing on the reverse is in John Copnall's hand.
