DESCRIPTION: A stunning, framed oil painting on canvas by artist Jack Smith in an abstract style reminiscent of Piet Mondrian's hard-edge works with elements of constructivism. The work is titled 'Inside, Outside'. The painting shows geometric shapes in various colours around a central blue square and white frame-like structure on a pale yellow background. The painting is signed, titled and dated 1999 verso. Excellent provenance having originally come from Angela Flowers Gallery East in Kingsland Road, east London with catalogue number 'AFG 30991'. Jack Smith exhibited frequently at the Flowers Gallery. The work is housed in a natural wood finish frame.
