BASE MARKS: The legend on the base reads 'THE EDITION OF THESE JUGS IS STRICTLY LIMITED. THIS IS NUMBER 49' Below the legend is 'PERCY METCALFE SC.'. Then the Ashtead Potters mark with 'Star' date symbol indicating 1925/1926 and 'MADE IN ENGLAND'.
