DESCRIPTION: An Ashtead Potters M103 'Spring' Figurine in (k) Pearl Barley Glaze modelled by Joan Pyman. The figure takes the form of a maiden in long flowing gown carrying bouquet of flowers, representing the season of spring.
MARKS: Entitiled 'SPRING'in relief text to front of base. Marked 'JOAN PYMAN 1930' in relief on reverse of base.
BASE MARKS: 'Ashtead Potters' split either side of stylised ash tree logo. BCM/ASHTD, 'MADE IN ENGLAND' split either side of 'Square' date code. M103 (model number), 'K' glaze mark.
