Ashtead Potters M38 Child With Stick - Brown Costume
DESCRIPTION: An earthenware figure of a child leaning on a stick upon a plinth designed by Phoebe Stabler. The name of the artist appears incised on the side of the figurine (very faint). The child is wearing a brown costume with matching brown hat decorated with a blue band with green foliate design. Blue strap to costume. The stick is painted green and the plinth is decorated with a blue and green band to both the top and bottom.
BASE MARKS: Ashtead Potters stamp, impressed 'M39' refers to the Ashtead Potters catalogue model number and the 'K.' is the glaze mark.
